Three nurses and a mother were indicted Thursday in the case of a malnourished teenager in what officials are describing as “the most malnourished child they’ve ever seen.”
Makayla Norman, 14, was found by paramedics covered in bed sores and her own filth. The paramedics rushed her to Children’s Medical Center of Dayton, OH, where she died shortly after arriving.
According to officials, Makayla, who had cerebral palsy, weighed 28 lbs. and looked more like a skeleton than a 14-year-old girl.
