| PKS Reaches Settlement over Resident's Broken Ankle |

Milwaukee, WI - January 30, 2008Attorney Jeffrey Pitman of Pitman, Kyle & Sicula, S.C. settled a personal injury lawsuit on behalf of a nursing home resident who had her ankle broken at a Milwaukee-area nursing home. The 88-year-old victim was being pushed in a wheelchair by an aide when her foot fell off the wheelchair's foot pedal. The aide ignored the victim's fallen foot and continued to push the wheelchair until the wheel rolled over the victim's ankle. The facility had not taken any disciplinary action against the employee. However, the nursing home would later receive a citation and fine from the state as a result of the incident.
