State Inspector Injured by Semi
Driver May be to Blame

According to a report from the State Patrol, a De Pere Foundry Inc. truck driver pinned a State Patrol inspector under the front of his defective flatbed rig after a traffic stop on Hwy. G in Brown County this morning,

The Inspector was injured when the truck pinned her foot and ankle under one tire, and she was treated and released at an area hospital. According to the state patrol, the driver put the truck in gear and moved forward when the inspector reached the front of the vehicle as part of her investigation.

According to State Patrol Lt. Nick Scorcio, the driver was cited for driving without a commercial driver's license. The truck was pulled off the road because it had defective brakes and steering.

The Brown County Sheriff's Department is reviewing the incident for potential charges.
